About The Black-Pasley-Peeples Family
The Black, Pasley and Peeples Families came together on November 5th 2005 in Pembroke Pines Florida with the marriage of Samuel Peeples and Marilyn (sugar) Fields-Singletary. Since that time I have found that the Black family is predominantly female and therefore a matriarchal family, whereas the Peeples family is predominantly male thus patriarchal. This major difference has made for some interesting observations regarding both of our families. But that's not for this site. There are many other surnames in this tree as you can see below.

If you are new to this site here is some information that will help you get around. First, this is a secure site. You will need an invitation to view details about any living person on this site.
If you are a member of the family you will need to explain how in your invitation request, ie: Samuel's niece or Johnell's cousin. Just click on the request invitation button on the right and follow the instructions. When you receive your invitation your email address will be you user ID you will have to create your own password.

No one else will know that password except you. If you forget it there is no way I can help except to delete you and send a new invitation.
As a family member you will be able to input information about your immediate family (Father, Mother, Sisters, Brothers, Children) only. You can however browse the entire site if you like. Here is the information this is essential to the success of this site: 1: Birth date, the year is most important, month and day are useless without the year. 2: Ladies input your maiden names even if you are married. Marriage information is at the bottom of the page.
3: Birth Location: Please provide city and State or city and country if not born in the US. Any other information you wish to provide can only make this site better the more thorough you are the better it gets.
My plan here is to have this site grow in both directions (past and future) but I can't do both. So I would like to have 3 to 5 administrators that can help me research the past as far back as we can possibly go. The black family goes back to 1849 and I'm close to getting mine back to 1850's.
Hopefully we will get back across the ocean but that is going to take serious research. The future is easier I just need family members to update their names periodically . There is even an area on this site for upcoming events and you can get a bi-monthly newsletter via email that also tells about upcoming events, birthdays, graduations, marriages, anniversaries, etc.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
